Friederike Gerechter, born Friederike Tuch, was born in 1820 in Koschmin, in the province of Posen. Her parents were Aron Itzig Tuch and Michle Ruhman.
She married Jakob Gerechter of Borek, and they had at least six children, among them Armin's father Wilhelm.
She died in Borek on 20 July 1897, aged about seventy-seven, two years before her grandson Armin was born.
Before 1933
In 1880 she was named as the mother of the bride when her daughter Jenny married Meyer Tuch in Borek. The Tuch and Gerechter families married into each other again and again. Long after her death, Jenny's son Hugo Tuch married Martha Lauer, the sister of Ruth's mother Erna.
